Weekend Alone

Ti Tonga and my siblings all know that I'm pretty much the designated travel agent in the family (not by choice!) It seems like every time someone is in the mood to travel- my phone rings... "Kiki can you list me for this flight." "Kiki can you book a car rental for me." "Kiki what time does my flight leave?"
My dad called me to take care of his travel arrangements for the weekend- they were planning on going to California, and I was surprised when they asked if they could take my boys along- ALL 3 OF THEM! The first and last time that all 3 of the boys were away from us was Christmas of '06. Of course you can take them!! =) The entire household could hardly wait for the weekend to hit. The boys were super excited to see grandma and grandpa, and me and Ti were excited to get some time to ourselves. We do EVERYTHING with the kids. The only time we are away from them is when we go to work (which is no fun). So as soon as I found out that we would have 2 whole days to ourselves, a million and one ideas started brewing up of all the fun things we could do. Hmmmm.... what to watch, where to go, what to see???
Can I just say that the boys' weekend was a lot more spectacular than their Mom and Dads! As soon as they drove off, I longed for them. I didn't even want to leave the house. Me and Ti did end up going out and it was nice to spend time with him, but it would be a total lie if I said that we had the time of our lives living on the edge. Everything reminded me of them and I kept worrying if they were okay. "I hope grandma remembers that she has to put Nici's lotion on right after he gets out of the bathtub." "Maybe I should call and make sure grandma knows which church clothes go on each of the kids." It was pretty pathetic. When Monday came me and Ti sat downstairs staring at the clock wondering how much longer we had to wait til our quiet household would return to it's normal uproar. I am so glad to say that we are back to pandemonium. I am so grateful for my children, no matter how rowdy they can get. They seriously had a blast in California. They could've gone anywhere and had fun, as long as they were with grandma and grandpa. I have such awesome family. I love and appreciate them so much. I am so blessed and am glad to finally have my boys back. Together is definitely a wonderful place to be!

My Very First Wedding Invite!

So when I decided to start threelittlebirds I told Sila that I mainly wanted to do graduation announcements and birthday invitations. Weddings were out of the picture. I had no courage whatsoever to tackle any category of matrimony. A couple months down the road I got a request from Ala Brown to design his wedding invitations and here I am now- taking wedding requests lol. When Ala contacted us he asked if we could make him a sample (questioning my skills lol) so I came up with 2 designs just to give him an idea of our style. I was completely surprised when he said he loved them both and wanted prints of each design. So after a little tweaking... the results are in. Congratulations Mr. and Mrs. Brown!

I'm also running a promotion for graduation announcements. You can check out more details here.

Ex-Ute Kemoeatu front and center -- this time as Steelers guard

Lately when we've logged on to sltrib.com we've been sadden to see our Polynesian community making headlines for all the wrong reasons. How happy we were to finally log on and see a positive story on the front page with a Tongan name boasting as it's title: "Ex-Ute Kemoeatu front and center -- this time as Steelers guard ". What's even more exciting is that (Chris) Kemoeatu is Ti Tonga's cousin. It blows my mind to think that the Kemoeatu's have not 1, but 2 boys playing in the NFL. Good job Chris! Congrats on all your accomplishments. Thanks for giving Utah and Polynesians worldwide something positive to build on and gain inspiration from.
Ofa Atu,
Fangupo's

p.s. I stole these pics from the Fangupo family website. Thanks whoever posted them =)

Catch-Up

Holy Moley it's been a while since I've blogged. There's been so much that has happened that has been blog worthy, but I feel like I haven't had the time to sit down and type. First of all... Ti Tonga officially has a little namesake. Congrats Christina and Kina on their healthy baby boy- Tevita Tonga Fetokoniaki Fangupo... I think you've got the coolest name on the block little one, but that's just my opinion ;) Sini got her mission call!!! So exciting! She will be serving in New Jersey. And 3LB has been busy busy. A little nerve racking, but exciting. I can't wait to post Ala and Mele's wedding invites, but I don't want to take away from their moment...=) So I will wait until the wedding is done before I showcase the invite. Until then, enjoy a "teaser" if you will. Special shout out to Sila and Neo for helping me bring my dreams to life. I don't know where I would be without you ladies.
