5 Diamond!!!

Last night at work our managers announced that Aria is officially rated a 5 Diamond property! I am so excited and proud!! I remember opening and hearing everyone stress that we wanted to achieve 5 Diamonds in our opening year. The only other property to achieve that was the Wynn. We are closing in on our year mark (Dec. 16 is our 1st birthday) and there have been many times when I thought we'd be lucky to get 4 Diamonds lol. I can't believe we made it! It certainly doesn't mean that the hotel is perfect... we are FAR from perfect. But it is awesome to know that our hard work has paid off! Aria is most definitely my 2nd home and I am sooooo proud of my Front Desk team!!

Craft Night

This year, due to work, I was not able to make it to our ward's Super Saturday :( I was talking to my sis-in-law Toa about it and we came up with an idea to have our own craft night. So last night we had our "Terrific Tuesday". Toa came over with Moli and Ini and together we chit chatted, ate, and made crafts. Toa and I each came up with 2 crafts to share.

Toa helped us make framed monograms and personalized CD holders.
(I totally forgot to snap pics of the monograms before everyone left).

My 2 crafts were these Christmas countdown blocks

and these simple Holiday plates
With each trip to the craft store I had to fight the urge to come home and set up the Christmas tree. Why does Christmas decor have to be so cute and tempting?! I am resisting until Thanksgiving- which is exactly 1 week from tomorrow. I can do this!

Blackout 2010

So about that last post... it didn't work lol. The game was brutal with a capital B. I received an email today from one of our family's good friend. She was excited to share a picture of Fatu that she came across.Receiving such a positive and proud email after such a tough loss was both unexpected and sweet. Shout out to our Kearns community for the continued love and support.

Here's a few pics Neo snapped.^Fatu's Freedom Gloves
You can tell this was before the game cause he was smiling lol

For the second year in a row, select Under Armour®-sponsored NCAA football teams showed their support for the Wounded Warrior Project by gearing up in customized WWP uniforms. On the backs of each jersey, player names were replaced with different core values, including Honor, Commitment, Service, Country, Duty, and Freedom. In 2009 jersey auctions and product sales from the games raised nearly $200,000 for the Wounded Warrior Project.

This year, UA teams geared up again in WWP-inspired camouflage uniforms.

Four Days of Fall Fun

Halloween is done and over with. The kids are heading back to school tomorrow after a long 5 day weekend. I can't believe they dressed up in their costumes for 4 consecutive days. Here's a quick breakdown of all the fall festivities...

Thursday: Halloween parade and class parties
Both me and Ti got to go watch the boys march. They were so happy to see us. I was too busy getting their karts on them and looking at all the cool costumes that I didn't get very many pictures.
Friday: Haunted Harvest at the Springs Preserve
The boys were so excited to go together with their cousins. Toa hauled all 5 kids by herself - bless her heart.
Saturday: Pumpkin carving & trunk-or-treat
We actually picked our pumpkins on Friday, but decided to wait one more day because it was really warm and I was afraid our pumpkins would go bad in the sun. So Saturday morning we woke up and had donuts for breakfast and carved our pumpkins. I was so caught up in carving that I neglected to snap more pics. Mote is getting old enough to where he did a lot of his pumpkin on his own without any help.Later that night we put the costumes on again and went to our ward trunk-or-treat. We started off inside and had chili for dinner then headed out to the parking lot for the trunk-or-treat. I was lucky enough to get the day off so that we could all go together.Sunday: Halloween Night! Neighborhood pool party & trick-or-treating
I worked on Halloween night. Our neighborhood had a Halloween party at the pool. They had donuts and cider and were handing out candy so Ti took the boys there and then they went around the neighborhood to trick-or-treat.
And that my friends is a wrap up of our crazy, busy, longer than normal weekend. No more applying mustaches and adjusting suspenders. Hallelujah!
